Learning to Love Unconditionally

I am a student of Unconditional Love. My mentor and teacher is Jesus Christ. I believe we should honor his death on the cross and everything we were taught it does and could mean to us and our lives. But, I also believe we should begin to focus more on his Resurrection than on his death. His Resurrection taught us about life AFTER death. We do not die. We live on. If we were made in the "image and likeness of God" and Jesus was His "only begotten Son", then we are also Children of God and therefore like Jesus. If we are like Jesus, then we never die. I believe Jesus lives on today in spirit and sends messages to us through chosen Scribes. One of those messengers in my opinion is Paul Ferrini. I am reading "Love Without Conditions" and "Reflections of the Christ Mind: The Present-Day Teachings of Jesus". I have been looking for the messages contained in these books all my life.

The roses in this blog page are the same rose. It's name is the "Confederate Rose". My sister-in-law, Libby, got a cutting of this plant from a friend and rooted it. I planted it with her and her husband, Ed, last year. This is it's first blooming: on Thanksgiving week. Libby told me it will be white in the morning and turn pink in the afternoon. This first bloom took twenty-four hours to turn color. It is one of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen, and I have renamed it, "Libby's Rose". This lovely flower reminds me of Libby and her loving Heart. After she succumbs to appendix cancer, this rose will forever remind me of her beauty and Love. She is in the hospital getting treatment for pain management from her cancer, and will not be joining us for Thanksgiving Dinner afterall. And, she has not seen her rose in person yet. I pray she will leave the hospital and this rose will continue to bloom until she can get to "The Lakehouse" to see it for herself.

I am very thankful for Libby and for flowers. Thank you, God, for the beauty of this Earth.
